The TeensinAI initiative, launched at the AI for Good Global Summit at the UN in May 2018, exists to inspire the next generation of ethical AI researchers, entrepreneurs and leaders who will shape the world tomorrow. 

 

GirlsinAI Hong Kong is a branch of the Global TeensinAI organisation, which aims to bridge the inequality gap and fuel SDG 12 and SDG 5 in the tech and STEM sectors. by implementing hackathons, volunteering opportunities and events.

GirlsinAI Hong Kong Demo Day!

IWD HACKATHON HIGHLIGHTS

To celebrate International Women's Day, GirlsinAI Hong Kong hosted the IWD Hackathon to empower more young women to be changemakers in the male-dominated tech industry.

 

Our first hackathon had over 70 participants, 20 mentors, 3 local partners (including Makerbay HK, BSD Education, and Preface Coding), and 2 supporting affiliations (including IET Hong Kong and HKACE).

We were also featured on South China Morning Post, De Telegraaf Dutch Newspaper, Invest Me HK's StartmeUp Festival, KidsforSDGs x ISSIA's UN World Youth Skills Day, and ESF.
